GENERAL MEETING -
Lisa Passen, Guest Speaker - Author of Monkey Mountain

Old Grace Church, 4755 Merrick Road, Massapequa
April 27th, 2 pm - 4 pm

PictureMonkey Mountain at Frank Buck's Zoo.
It's August 21st, 1935, and 138 Rhesus Monkeys have escaped from the Frank Buck's  Jungle Camp in Massapequa, NY!!!!

It really happened!!! There's even an article about it in the New York Times!

Lisa Passen, author of the novel, Monkey Mountain, will be giving a talk about her book -- which is (more or less) based upon the true and mixed up facts of that fateful August day.  So join us as we look back and reminisce about Monkeys, Menageries, and general Mayhem in Massapequa of the 30's!
